LaunchPass (“we”, “us”) helps you submit your product to launch directories by saving your product details once and autofilling submission forms with them. This policy explains what the LaunchPass web app and Chrome extension collect, why, and who we share it with. We only handle the data you give us, and we use it solely to provide the service — we do not sell it.

What we collect

  • Account information — your email address and a password, handled by our authentication provider, so you can sign in.
  • Product details you enter — the information you save to autofill forms: product name, tagline, description, links, pricing, category, maker name and email, social handles, and any logo, screenshots, or demo video you upload.
  • Submission activity — which directories you’ve marked submitted for each product, so we can track your progress and enforce free/paid limits.
  • Domain Rating snapshots — the public Domain Rating of your product’s own domain over time, charted on the product page.
  • Payment status — when you unlock a product, our payment processor handles your card details; we store only whether a product is paid.

How the Chrome extension handles data

The extension connects to your LaunchPass account and fills directory submission forms with your saved product details. It is designed to keep access narrow:

  • It reads your LaunchPass session cookie once, during pairing, and exchanges it for a durable extension token. It does not read cookies for any other site.
  • It caches your own account and product data locally in the browser (chrome.storage.local) so the popup and autofill work without re-fetching.
  • Autofill runs only on the tab you trigger it on, and only writes to that page’s form fields. It does not read, collect, or transmit the content of pages you visit.
  • It never sees any server secret and communicates only with the LaunchPass API.

How we use your data

  • To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
  • To store your product details and fill them into directory submission forms at your request.
  • To track your submission progress and Domain Rating over time.
  • To process payments and unlock products.

We do not use or transfer your data for advertising, for purposes unrelated to the service, or to determine creditworthiness, and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run LaunchPass, each acting on our behalf:

  • Unbase — authentication, database, and file storage for your account and product data.
  • Stripe — payment processing when you unlock a product. Your card details go directly to Stripe.
  • Ahrefs — we send your product’s domain to look up its Domain Rating.
  • Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies only to keep you signed in (session and refresh tokens). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The extension reads your session cookie only during pairing, as described above.

Data retention and your choices

You can edit or delete your products at any time from your dashboard, and disconnect the extension to remove its stored token and cached data. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the address below. We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

Children

LaunchPass is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
